SYD base to increase

Our Sydney base is to increase its crew compliment to 36, These crew will be seconded from Virgin Blue to Virgin Atlantic from October. The crew will then consist from SYD/HKG/SYD of 1FSM,1 LHR CSS, 1HKG CSS, 2LHR Seniors, 2 SYD Seniors, 1 HKG Senior, 2 LHR Cabin Crew, 2 SYD Cabin Crew and 2 HKG Cabin Crew plus the ever lovely IFBT. The LHR/HKG/LHR sectors will remain the same however galley FM and also some management have stated that they would like a 1 senior and one cabin crew from SYD base to continue through to London in the future.

What would be the point in having SYD based crew coming all the way through to the UK. They might aswell used the crew based in the uk.

I bet it has to do with pay and employment cost. Just take a look at Northwest.

There is not enough crew to take 2 SYD based crew and fly them to London. Even with 36. There is no truth in that.

Well as much truth as the CPM from Sydney saying that she was putting in a proposal to management for it. Must be pie in the sky!
