Upgrading /Miles Earned

I rang FC today to book a couple of economy seats from MAN-MCO for next Spring and asked the young lady to confirm that, if I upgraded the return leg using miles, I would still get the relevant economy mileage for that leg. This she duly did. Good so far

However, on receipt of my e-ticket, I noticed that the return leg (PE) has been booked as a U fare code. Reading LRoM's invaluable fare code info on this site, Us do NOT attract either mileage or tier points. [:(!]

I have e-mailed Customer Services and await their reply [:(]

Any thoughts?

U class is the Upgrade class for Premium economy. There should be an entry somewhere in the booking which states what fare you PAID for and should duly earn for that flight.

I would be worried if the ticket DIDN'T have the U class.....

Don't worry, its always good to be careful. Just remember to check your details online when you get back. If it does NOT show that journey, as sometimes there is a glitch in the system which prevents it from seeing the paid seat, just give FC a call and they will add it on for you.[y]
