Mising Flying Card???

Hi,I applied for membership to the Flying Club in February and have still not received a card. They are sending me email newsletters, but still no card..We are travelling to LAX in August and just wondered who I should ring to enquire where the card is - surely they don't take this long to arrive???

My card got delivered after I took my first VS flights. I dont know if this is standard practice or not.

Still got my points through to my account (for both VS and HP flights) without any problems.

You'll only get your actual shiny plastic flying card once you've taken (rather than booked) your first flight. You will have been emailed your flying club membership number. You can either use the website to check that your flying club number is entered against your booking if you booked direct with VA or you can make sure it's entered at check in.

It sounds like the delivery of the card is handled differently in the UK then here in the USA.

The family and I will be taking our first VS flight 11 July (VS020) and I signed up for Flying Club about two weeks before I booked the flight back in October of last year. As soon as I had the physical card I did my actual booking directly with the VS phone agent. I was rather surprised at how quickly the "plastic card" actually arrived. It was less than two weeks.

Just as an observation ... my "little red card" actually has a flat finished surface ... not very shiny, but then as long as the number gets those shiny miles ...
