Prompted by a friend who can transfer his Tesco clubcards point to his BA miles account (and can therefore take adavantage of various other promotions Tesco run), I have been looking for other opportunities to "up" my miles..

Other than:
- Taking VS or Partner airline flights :-)
- Hotel Points (e.g. Starwood)
- Virgin Credit Card
- Booking through Virgintravelstore for 1mi per £1
- Miles more Friends
- BAA WorldPoints
- Various Hotels, Cruises, Car hire, other virgin companies listed on http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/flying_c ... rs.view.do

Does anyone have any other suggestions - particularly any other loyalty cards that can be transferred across to VS miles?

Or should I assume that becuase nothing else is listed on the link above, there are none? :(

Thanks in advance,

jules.

There's also the Texaco we.o.u scheme (formally Texaco Global Club)

You earn 1 point on all purchases at Texaco filling stations. Once you earn 600 points you can then transfer them to FC for 1000 miles.

I earn about 4000 FC miles a year from this.

I earn 500 miles per case of wine from Virgin Wines (one of the nicest ways to earn in my opinion!).

Hmmm, I'm getting 750 miles per case [8D]

'fools rush in'... you're right it's 750 isn't it. I've spent too much time cashing in vouchers and too little spending recently. (or perhaps i'm just drunk)

Since I started shopping at Virgin Wines, I've found this has been the case more often than not :D

Ahem, I think it is per order rather than per case, althought they do introduce other criteria from time to time. During the double miles promo last autumn I bought stacks at 1500 miles for a c. £30 case (plus delivery) I was placing four orders a day for Birkin and four the next day for me! (That was the Champagne, Red and White gift case, great value.) [:o)] (Thats the only one I could see with a red nose!;))

D'oh! Indeed you are correct, sorry [:I]

Since I only order a case at a time (which seems to be getting rather more frequent), I just made that connection mentally (no further comment required thankyouverymuch :D)

I believe you have to order full cases, however a case may be fewer than 12 bottles depending on the promotion.

You will not get 750 miles per case if you order more than one case on the same order, you only get one lot of 750 miles. [:(]

I've just signed up for the Texaco scheme online. It suddenly dawned on me that Texaco is where i tend to buy my petrol, more often than not, and I have been missing out on FC miles unnecessarily! [:I]

Hi rgrand,

First welcome to V-Flyer!

Second, sorry - there is no way of directly shifting miles from a carriers frequent traveller program to Virgin Flying Club.

You can transfer Starwood, Hilton and AmEx points to VS Flying Club.

You can book VS flights with CO or DL miles though.

Thanks,
Richard
