I'm sure it will prove to be a popular route for VS and cause more damage to my plastic ;)

Breaking news everyone! It looks as though Virgin plans to fly to MRU with a new aircraft type:

All flights to Mauritius will be operated on aircraftby an Airbus A360-600 fitted with the Upper Class Suite.

Talk about spelling errors [B)]. Fortunately Pete edited it for this website, because the real press release is full of problems.

bit confused!! The press release on v-flyer reads:

"Virgin Atlantic will fly to Mauritius on Mondays and Fridays. The route will be operated by a Boeing 747-400 with a configuration of 14 Upper Class seats, 58 Premium Economy seats and 379 Economy seats."

No mention of an airbus

In Mauritius, quite a few of the hotels offer helicopter transfers - any hope of VS living up to that?[8D]

VS.

I was referring to the original press release by VS. It says that and then contradicts itself.

Um... Link

Please note that they have edited the news release, and now it only says that a 747-400 will be used.
