Steve,
Why not make use of the 10 free queries this site gives you? It might be worth considering an ef.com subscription...

Hi Steve - there are those better and wiser than me who can use expertflyer to work out what the loads are, however members of v-flyer can get some free use from expertflyer too - so this is one of the great reasons for joining v-flyer as a member!!

Or for a better interpretation than Expert Flyer - i don't find it at all reliable and i travel stand by so i've tried it all....

To be fair lipstick, that EF data was right then!

ie: 3 available seats in J, wide open in W and wide open in Y.
It may not be as load-accurate as the airlines' own systems, but it's usually right... [:w]

^Lol 'usually right' isn't good enough when you've only got one day to get back to work!

Fascinating - given it uses a couple of GDS systems under what circumstances have you found it to be wrong?

I guess that Lipstick has access to the VS system, which gives far more information than any of the subscriber services. I think that EF shows the information VS releases into the public domain, so it's never going to be as comprehensive or useful as the info available to staff. With that said, surely it's as reliable as the info VS provides?
I'd like to have access to the VS system, but giving up my current job to work for Virgin Atlantic seems a rather extreme step for more detailed availability information!
Best wishes
David

Lipstick has historically implied that she used to work as VS but now groundstaffs for someone else I think.
