UC Reward Availability

Hi

Need some advice again! #61514;

I have booked a reward flight to MCO I wanted to travel UC in both directions, I have managed this out bound (4th Oct), but there is currently no availability on the return leg on the 15th of October so have booked PE .

I would still like to be in UC for the return flight and wonder if I should contact VA now and see if they can help (Do they have an Upgrade Standby list?) Or would I be better waiting until the week before the flight and contacting them then?

I assume I will be charged a £25 change fee if I successfully upgrade?

Finally I will obviously be in the US the week before so do I contact Virgin in the USA or UK?

Thanks

Jaydun

not sure re the first points

but your question should you deal with Virgin UK or US.

Have dealt with both - and I must say Virgin US people are somewhat more helpful - and they have waived my change fees before.

Re availability - all i can say is keep checking up until the night before ---- availability seems to change a lot.

Example : 2 days before I was due to fly from LAS to LGW, I wanted to change the flight to one day later. There was no availability - but when I called the next day there was availability.

Hi Jaydun

If you have no joy then its also worth asking at the airport. When we flew to DEL in March there was no UC reward availabilty all the way upto the day before, but we asked at the ticket desk at LHR and they found us 2 seats.

You can also check online by logging into the VA site with your FC number and then trying to book a normal reward flight.

Are your days a little bit more flexible say try leaving the day before or after??
