Hi all

I have just had an invite to change my Virginmoney MBNA mastercard to MBNA AMEX with virgin, and as a bonus they are offering 3 miles per £1 spent when spent with virgin holidays or virgin atlantic before July 2007.

Now it so happens I am planning a great escapade next Jan, but it looks like this has to be purchased from the Great escapade website - the terms of the card say that only purchases direct from Virgin atlantic and Virgin Holidays get the triple miles.

Anyone know if I can buy Great escapade tickets from Virgin?

Yes you certainly can purchase the Great Escape direct from Virgin Atlantic, I was on the phone to them only yesterday checking prices for next year. In fact their quote for a business class GE ticket came out over £300 less than Trailfinders!

PS: With the black Virgin AMEX they'e offering 6 miles for every pound spent direct with VA/VH, so on a couple of business class Great Escapades I'll be reaping 43,000 miles in a single transaction
