i'm hoping to buy some miles and money fares when they are released for our trip to Florida next september. I may not be able to buy them on the day of release as it will be very close to xmas and both kids birthdays, but seeings as i can still get M&M fares for our dates this september do you think i need to worry baout getting them booked as soon as they are released?

Also do weekends always cost the same as weekedays on M&M fares. I have had a look at a few dates that are availble at the moment and the weekends seem to be the same price and weekdays.

I personally have never booked M+M fares, but I would imagine they are like redemption tickets, and it's always best to book them as early as possible.

A little OT, but I work for DL, and redeption tickets are such a pain to find availability for on DL. You literally have to book them about a year in advance or you won't find availability- it can be a real nightmare sometimes.

Based on my experience with that, I would try to book them as early as possible- does it have to be the day they come out? Probably not, but I would do them as early as you can.

I'm not sure about your fare question- maybe someone here can clear that up for you.

I actually work for Comair, a Delta Connection company, but it's such a pain to explain the whole Comair/DL relationship and how we fit in, so I just tell people I work for DL. Besides- we're trained the same as DL employees in ticketing and such. The only real difference is that we work smaller aircraft, and our paychecks have a different logo on them- our taining is pretty much identical.

So go ahead- throw all your DL questions at me. haha.
