well if there's no travelators you have two options:

1. get somebody to take you on one of those buggies

2. sneak a trolley through security and get someone to push you across.

You certainly would hope that they had, but apparently (according to someone on airliners.net) it is too low for the A380, maybe the A380 was just a glint in Airbus' eye when the bridge was designed.

or if your mind is as warped as mine, you'll believe that BA gave BAA a back hander so that VS wouldn't beable to operate it's A380s at gatwick.

of course this is highly speculative....
