hi, just a quick question,

Does anybody know if I book a flight to Hawaii on the Hawaii Airline's website, can I specify that the miles earn't are transfered to my flying club account? I can't quite locate the answer on their website.

Thanks

Arhhh. Hawaii - grass skirts, surf's up, volcanos, Hilo, ........ Boy I wish I was coming with you, wether you can block the transfer of miles or not.

While I'll be spitting tacks with jealousy, you should do it. Have a great time.

Mmm ... Hawaii :)

I *think* that the HA website is set up to only accept HA membership numbers and US customers, if that is the case, i would ensure you flash your FC card at check in, they will be able to then add your number for you, expect your miles within 6 weeks of taking the flight.

If that fails, you can always send off your boarding pass stub or e-ticket to VS after the flight to claim for the miles, they are usually very good at coming through with this.

Have a good one .. not at all jealous you know .. ;)

Thanks,
Sarah

The HA website won't let you book if you're from Europe and the best way is through travelocity. I wouldn't worry about the mile thing just keep your eticket and send it in to Crawley on your return. We enterted it on travelocity, called HA and showed it at every check-in (which always got a funny look as they have no idea VS is a partner until you show them one of their leaflets with VS as a partner)and they never get credited.

Most of the boarding cards now are like loo roll paper and if they make it back in a decent condition then you're very lucky. Crawley was very happy with just the eticket posted them on the Tuesday evening and the miles and TP were in the account by Wednesday lunchti [y]me

As stated you cant book with Hawaiian here. They only accept billing addies in the USA Canada & Australia.

Booked our September HA flights with VS on the phone and the old type cardboard ticket arrived about 7 days later.

It may be a good idea to go to the HA website first and price it up, albeit in $US

And as everyone has said hang onto the stub to claim the miles when you get home.

Regards

Paul

thanks for all your advice guys,

I gave up on Hawaiian airlines (so i could add miles to my virgin account) after it became impossible to get the flight back to LA at the time I need it unless I paid something ridiculous to their UK phone based sales shop. The flight back added some £160 on the flight total, £160 pounds more than the quoted price on the Hawaiian Airline's website. Expedia and Travelocity didnt seem to have access to the return flight I need so I have gone to American Airlines and paid £164 return and I have the flight times I needed! Bargain.
Shame I wont be able to add the miles to my virgin account, but now I have an AA account too!
