Miles more Friends

I have a sneaky suspicion that my work email blocks miles more friends invites. And I have a pressing need to send an invite because a colleage is flying out to mumbai soon, and i've convinced him that Virgin Upper Class and Joining Flying club is a good thing

So i sent him a miles more friends invite but it hasn't arrived, and he's not computer savvy enough to have a secondary email address.
Is there a way he can register for flying club, and I can claim my credit other than through a miles more friends invite?[}:)]

I had exactly the same problem when recommended a work friend to Flying club for his first VS flight (only PE though[ii]).
I had to ask our IT guy to check the email server and allow the message to come through. I imagine it is being blocked by your works spam filter and it should be possible to go into the email server and allow selected messages.
If you can't do that then I don't know, but I am pretty certain it is achievable, just tell your IT man that is a very important email[:w] (well 15k miles is important!)

Sadly thanks to Mr Enron and Sardines-Oxley (or whatever its called) our IT systems are locked down tighter than a camels nether regions in dusty weather. And it's all administered from HQ in some out of the way place in the US.
Happily said colleage has been taught how to set up an email account, to which i then sent the invite and we're up an running!
I reckon I should get more than 15K for doing such a good sales job for Virgin!
I've invited a few people now, but then they usually let me down and get an N ticket or something horrible.

That's not necessarily a problem, PVGSLF:
The fact that you MMF'd them stays on their account. When they finally DO fly on an eligible ticket, you'll still get the reward. [y]

Excellent, glad its sorted[y] - You'bve done well to get 15k, the tight sod at our office was nearly crying we he had to pay for PE, told him it was a must though [}:)]

Having just blown 100K on a ticket for MrsPVG to accompany me on my travels, I am looking for every chance to build up the balance again.
15K here, and the deal for the swap of the CC to AMEX, along with my own flights should soon have me back in reward territory again! [:o)]
The only downer now is the impending compulsory use of a corporate AMEX card for all business expenses, though I will hold out from taking mine up for as long as possible.

I have had a similar problem in th epast - I ended up setting up a temporary account for the person in question on my companies webmail service - it doesn't appear blocked at any company I've been to (yet!). So as a last resort, and you need to get a mail to someone, let me know and we can sort something out. Note: the person receiving the mail must have web access!

Yes, I have been wondering about this. I think i need to make some investigations, even at 1:1 for Membership Rewards to FC Miles when i need to stick 5grand business tickets on it as will, the miles will soon add up. (At the moment the company pay for our flights out of their account).

You left out my favorite, Dennis Kozlowski.
It's Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX for short) BTW. Accounting affects the whole company; as it always should have.
