Most miles earned in one trip

What is the highest mileage you have earned on one round trip?

I'll start with my top 2.

May 2004: 40k (13k base + 25% gold + 20k promotion + 5k limo delay)

March 2003: 53k (13K BASE + 2 * 20k delay for me and my wife who was with me on a companion reward flight)

I'm exepcting to be beaten, especially by those who use AMEX or the VS Credit card...

1370 preorder total there and back
5000 approx on miles x2 VSCC for ticket and preorder purchase
1000 from Mandarin Oriental
for good measure £400 of John Lewis vouchers between the 2 of us
Nearly 75k miles into my account and mrs jag got the same apart from preorder miles,mandarin & the broken seat bonus(keep telling her shes to thin:D)approx 42k into her account.

Pretty impressive.

Two broken seats, presumably next to each other, or did you swap and each claim?

Perhaps we could arrange a sting using seat pre-booking and the availability tool....

Only my seat was broken,must be me I managed to break one in BA club a few years ago and was offered nothing not even a seat in Y[:(!]

I think this might be the way to up the mileage earning stakes. I wonder how many TPs you'd get? I assume only return trips would be on offer. Although I can think of a few people I'd like to send on a one way trip [}:)]
