Hey - dont give up yet - your post has only been here for half an hour!
And in terms of getting more miles I assume you have all the necessary credit cards, partner reward cards etc etc etc ??

If you work for a large-ish company, then try asking round at work who is going on their hols to Orlando (always a good bet!) or flying VS in the near future. You will probably find a few people flying VS who are not in FC, so you can email them invites to join - after all, it costs them nothing.
I also got lucky as a friend & 3 colleagues were all non FC members & flying to Orlando [in PE] for a conference. 4 quick FC invites sent & 30k miles in my account a couple of months later for doing next to nothing.

Love this, well done for having the "cheek" to ask![^][^], as Kracken has said try asking at work, I have just managed to persuade two people who I work with to fly VS so I could get the MMF miles for me, I was always taught "If you don't ask you don't get"

Hi -
anyone know how quickly the FC invite points hit your account after the people you've invited have taken their trip?
Just wondering how long I should give it before chasing - nearly 2 months have gone passed and nothing as yet.

It's usually within a couple of weeks - by all means give FC a call, but in my experience when they haven't hit your account within a fortnight or so, it means that the person you referred wasn't flying on a qualifying fare.
Cheers
Michael

2 months is way over the top. I'd say 28 days, max.
Are you sure they travelled in an eligible fare code?

Mine were credited within max 5 days after my friends flights, I would double check the fare code as mentioned and then give FC a ring.
Just another thought, was their flight on VS or a partner airline, as if partner, have they sent all the info they need to claim their miles and let VS know they took the flight?

thanks for the speedy response - 99% certain they were flying in on a qualifying flight class and they upgraded to PE both legs at check in. LGW - MCO.
I'll check with FC.
cheers

Check that the names were spelt correctly down to the last hyphen. A friend of mine who was waiting for miles to be creditied finally rang FC & was told that because the name submitted by her hadn't got the family hyphen in it the 2 ends hadn't met up so to speak. A member of my family has a hyphen in their surname & it has caused us problems in the past. Just a thought. Good luck, Hope they were all in the right qualifying classes as stated above. It's a real pain when you find out that the flight the friends took doesn't qualify. However, if they are registered, it should kick in next time they fly with the correct class of ticket.
