Day 5 is a strange day to organise an event for - The test match could well be over in 3 or 4 days????
Are you sure that it's not for one of the first 3 days???

In the invite they asked for a mobile number to call in case the match doesnt go to the 5th day... Finger's crossed for the follow on!

Sky Sports have just announced that the game has been abandoned - they are not sure if there is a result as such!
But no play tomorrow - so anyone going for the fifth day can go out on the town instead!!

The result -
I know it's not been announced but the match has obviously been abandoned. The only reason for this would be because Pakistan did not come out after tea. This meant that by abandoning the match for this reason, it would/should be awarded to England, it's all in the rules of the game!

It just has been.
England win the series 3-0 - that has to be the most bizarre win ever though!

Enjoyed seeung it all unfold (particularly as we were in the box above the Pakistan players' balcony), but disappointed with the outcome and the absence on any play in the final session.
I presume the VS box is on the OCS stand - I could see a small advertising board there.
VS did however arrange a flypast - some time during the afternoon session a VS airbus flew directly over the oval.

Planes for LHR fly directly over the Oval all the time - It's a great place to see watch cricket and planes, whilst slurping a beer!
If you are keen enough, you can even see some traffic for London City airport from the Oval!

I see LCY traffic all day flying past my office window when they are landing from the west. I particularly like some of the viewing angles that make it look risky for the tall buildings at Canary Wharf...

Have to be honest sitting in the Laker Stand on day 4 when it was all kicking off was most entertaining and the crowd (where I was anyway) all took it in good spirit. The only frustration we felt were the crap messages/updates over the tannoy for over 2 hours which told us nothing. We were finding it all out via the radio or bbc news on the old faithful Blackberry!
