to give to passenger's BA is so boring [:$], I want
to return to Virgin but scared to apply , They will proberly

What Mark said, at worst they can say No and you carry on as normal, but you won't know if you don't try.

That's great to hear that VS still has that appeal, Peartree[y]. Unfortunately, since about the time you left, VS has gone down hill a bit, that's certainly the opinion of a lot of passengers.

However As Mark says, just do it[y].

Have you asked on the cabin crew website?

I'm sure VS would welcome you back, after all I'm sure they would welcome further insight into the internal workings of the dark side. Not that these sort of things go on between airlines [:I]

BTW has anyone got a small piece of purple carpet to lend peartree in the mean time [:?] [:w] [:o)]

Regards

I promise if I came back , I would make sure the service
is 100% "To fly to serve" . That is the way it should be , And I would love to show some crew how you should speak to passenger's .
Yes the service has gone down, I have heard , But at the end of the day the Crew need to care more about there passenger's and not in a fake way but be caring and polite way to every passenger . And class should not be an issue , I would really blow some people away , with the service I have been tought at BA ,And when a call bell goes off you will get service , Which I know is not the case with some crew I used to work with , And reading the hello magazine and not paying attention to those thirsty passengers . Oh I so want to bring some class back into Virgin Atlantic . Yes it would be great to have fun , But I have so missed the Virgin passengers and some of the crew . But some crew need to know there place and get there faces out of the mirror and do some work , They dont know how lucky they are to work for virgin , And it's only when you leave ,Do you relise this . But I'm going to apply and get some of that Virgin Atlantic professional service back ....Watch this space [y]

Why would they laugh at you! You have over 7 years experience, along with all the training they require and you may even go through the ranks quicker if you are accepted to go back and work.

There may be a grey area with why you left though and why you now want to come back.

You'll be fine. You ended up in one piece when you switched sides to BA so you'll be OK for the 'second coming'. Please keep us posted on how you get on.

Good luck[y]

They'd probably like you applying. I bet they'd be glad to see a BA F/A return to VS. It's sort of like sticking it to the man.

Go for it peartree, and with ideas like yours, can you make sure you're on my next flight from MAN :D And while you're at it, can you impart some of those ideas to the small minority of your future colleagues who seem to think that passengers are there for them and not vice versa?

YOUR PASSENGERS NEED YOU [y]

Follow your heart.

Lets face it, you worked for VS once, and you now permanently have VS in your blood.

tell the dark side where to stick it, and return to VS!

Oh and Good Luck.

Kev.

Just get on and do it. I think they'll be pleased to have you back, rather than turn you away and let BA get the advantage.

Hi Peartree... you're right that a balance of the VS humour and the BA professionalism sounds like the way to go, and if you're dying of boredom (did you end up on Eurofleet?) maybe it's time to come back and bring that extra experience to Virgin!

I hope you can get back into VS as a Senior, or quickly progress to Senior - or do they make you start back at the bottom?

In my industry (IT), you can often get paid better by leaving a company, working somewhere else, and then going back to your old employer, ironic though it sounds!

Cheers!
Mike

I'd go a little further. If VS were my company I would pay a lot of money to have staff so committed they want to come back once they have left. But VS apparantly don't, so I guess I am going wrong somewhere.

I too hope that you are successful and that I'll run into you on a flight one day - do you see a lot of VS staff at BA as I've heard that quite a few have gone that way[:?]

VS.

Im based at LHR Euro fleet , And there is a few ex-virgin crew and
we all speak about the old times . Thank you for all your support ,
I think I'm going to make the First Steps to Excellence and re-apply to Virgin Atlantic , And I hope I'll be a Senior again , But to be honest I think it's time to look after those passenger's in the main cabin . And give them a fantastic service and get some good remarks back on skytrax , Fingers crossed !!
