Hi All

A simple question, but I can't see the answer in the Flying Club T&C's

When you requalify at any level in Flying club, do you loose all your tier points or just the amount required to reach that level?

The reason I ask is I guess technically one day according to the screen you could be a great passenger the next ...... nothing?

Ever so slightly insecure!

Your counter resets to zero once you go Gold - although I can't remember what happens when you get to Silver (do you keep all points in anticipation of reaching Gold later the same 12-month period?).

You qualify for tier, then the clock starts ticking. Over the next year you earn tier points. There are then three things that can happen:
1. You earn enough points for the next tier and another year starts.
2. You earn enough points in the year to retain the same status for another year.
3. You don't get enough points to retain, in which case you drop back. I presume to the level appropriate to the number of points needed to retain.

If memory serves, the status "year" is actually 13 months.

Ok but say I have 80 tier points when I requalif for gold, do I go then go to 20 or Zero?

I have got those Star Alliance - upgrade vouchers burning a whole in my pocket, and with the silly BA NCW fares I am trying to start planning the next six months travel.

Cheers

You still keep the balance, but it is pointless, as when you come to renew again, they'll be over 1yr old and will have gone.

The reason they stay is coz, silver members for example
need to get to 40 in a rolling period not a set date range.

Online however, it will give you the 0 figure as this is easier to
understand
