Check-in opening times

Are the offical opening times for check in at all the destiantions published anywhere?
I am travelling back from LAX on the VS24 this week and would like to check in as early as possible to get ride of my bags.

I just read it again and it says that the VS24 checkin does not open until 5:00pm. I am not sure what time we will get up there now as our planbs have changed a little but I was hoping to check in as soon as it opened to get rid of our bags.
Has anyone tried checking in at LAX at 1:30pm for the VS24?
