Online And Twilight Checkin

To try and get the best chance of securing our pre-booked seats, we plan on doing OLCI 24 hours before departure. As we are a family with 2 young children, to minimise the time at the airport we would like to drop off our luggage the night before and get our boarding cards.
Firstly can combine OLCI and Twilight, and if we can, do we have to queue for the Twilight Checkin or is there a bag drop we can use. We are also concerned that as we won't be able to get to LGW until early evening there may be huge queues - any suggestions on optimum time to arrive in the evening.
Many thanks

First Where are you travelling to and what seats are you after?
I always use Twilight Check in and have never had to wait more than 5 / 10 mins.
If you leave your bagsat Twilight CI then you will have to stay in the airport for a short while 30 mins or so while your bags are screened in case they need to call you back.
Is the No liquid thing going to be an issue with the kids and hand luggage size?
I think TBH your plan is a bit Belt and braces and if you have already requested seats you shouldn't have a problem getting what you have asked for anyway.

I presume from your post that you are flying from LGW.
Yes you can do OLCI and then get your boarding cards from Twilight check in. I've used the service many times and never really had to queue longer than 5 minutes, although bear in mind with the new security measures it could be a bit busier at the moment.
Hope that helps

Hi,
We are travelling to St Lucia from LGW and the seats we are after are 2 sets of 2 at the back 61AC and 62AC from memory.
The no liquid issue is no problem as the kids are both over 4 years old.
I didn't realise that you had to wait at Twilight while they screened the bags, is this something new?
We want to use OLCI to secure the seats, but use Twilight to reduce the amount of queuing the next day. We are driving up to LGW after work and staying overnight, otherwise we have a 3:00am start - not a relaxing start to the holiday.
Jilly, I think you have answered my question about if you can combine the two.
Many thanks

The last couple of times we've used Twilight check in, they haven't asked us to remain in the airport, but usually asked where we are staying overnight. Last month they also asked for a mobile number for contact.
Have a great time.

I didnt say you couldn't combine the 2 just that it was belt and braces. I was asked to stay in April but they were happy with a mobile no.
These seats are really popular and if you have already requested them you shouldn't have a problem.
When I mentioned liquids I meant toiletries etc.
Have a great time in St Lucia
