What does it mean when..?

What does it mean when if you're updating your booking online and want to select your seats, but nearly all seats are grey apart from the odd single seat?!

Does it mean that all the other seats are taken, or is it a case of when you check in you'll be able to get two together?!

Also, what's the deal with an X fare.. is it upgradable using miles and such?

Hi mediamonkey,

Only 60% of seats are released for pre-selection, so if only singles are showing then it will mean it is near this limit. The rest of the a/c will become available at OLCI, apart from exit rows and bulkheads which are only available at the airport.

As far as I am aware an X class ticket is not upgradable, but this handy fare class guide from this site will be able to help and I am sure one of the fare experts will confirm for you also.
