New VS book flights options on web site

Just noticed Virgin have updated their book flights section. You can now see the class of the ticket, the type of plane you get, look at spending miles, etc. Much better. A nice improvement Virgin! :D

Ooooh! Bloody brilliant!

(How little things please those that have their expectations set so low... ;)[:I])

Although, it sucks using IE7 - doesn't render correctly [n]

Fantastic! Goodbye Expedia!

The page renders appallingly in Fx too, but it's still a welcome change!

Thanks,
Sarah

Hallelujah! Ask and ye shall receive :D

This is almost exactly what I was asking for here.

Nice one! And it seems really fast, certainly much faster than the previous system. There are still a few tweaks I would make, like being able to keep scrolling through sequential 3-day blocks to search for a good fare instead of having to go back to the search option. But with the speed improvement, that is a minor issue. It would also be good to filter on a fare class, so for example just show D class fares.

Hats off to you VS! And thanks V-Ben! ;) This is going to make my bookings so much easier. Now, if only they could extend this to partner carrier flights.....

Link to the list of changes made.

Being able to view reward availability over a calender month is so much better...:)

Oh, and it works great on Mac in Safari :D

Perhaps someone could also tell me how to do the neat hyperlinks [:I]

Rendering issues now apparently fixed in Fx [y]

The 'lowest fare' table is very good, close to what BA are offering.

Thanks,
Sarah

Can you only do this stuff at the time of booking or can you apply upgrades online to a flight already booked????

Good question, I imagine once booked you will still have to call VS, but somebody might know differently

Booking engine has just died - Phone reservations messages everywhere.

Too much to ask for a smooth changeover I suppose!!!! [:p]

Still needs a bit of tweaking methinks, but a dramatic step forward and one that VS should be congratulated for.

Problems I see are that 'cabin' doesn't pull down at all, and it seems when I select 'Upper Class - Lowest' from the 2nd screen for the outbound, all options for the return disappear, causing errors.

Hope it gets sorted soon as want to start trying it out in earnest :)

Thanks,

David.
