Am I correct in my understanding that the UCS in the 747 LGW/Orlando do not have VPort? Does that mean they have an odyssey/whatever little screen and naff remote etc? I thought all UCS had Vport?[?]

Thanks,

Viz.

You are correct, only the a/c ex LHR are fitted with V-Port, the IFE in each aircraft is the same in whichever cabin Y,W and J!. So afraid it will be Nova or Odyseey on flights ex Man and LGW. this feature shows which planes have which IFE.

It's worth pointing out that you now have a slightly increased chance of Odyssey IFE now that Ruby Tuesday has joined the LGW/MAN fleet from LHR.

If you are really lucky & flying in the next few days, you may get a LHR aircraft with v:port on as some are currently flying LGW/MAN routes.

You are right it does not have v-port. The screen is larger in UCS however.

I'm flying a week on Saturday - 16th Sept, so I doubt I'm going to be that lucky...[:(]

Thanks.

To be honest it is unlikely, and as mentioned before as it will be due to operational reasons you wouldn't know until the day. You never do know, maybe lady luck will be with you on that day, whatever a/c you are on I am sure you will have a good flight.
