Hi,

I'm flying PE to Vegas on Sunday (VS043). Second time with VS, first in PE. I've got seats reserved (row 74), can't do twilight check-in. I was wondering whether the OLCI bag drop queue will be combined for Economy and PE, and whether the queue will therefore be shorter at the 'normal' PE dedicated check-in. Hope this makes sense. What should I do, can anyone advise ?

Thanks

Ian

Hi Ian and welcome to the site.

You can do OLCI and still use the PE desk's, doing it that way you get the seat's you want and also you get a choose what ever queue is shortest.

Ian,

Welcome to the site. You will soon find that you have joined a prestige club indeed!

In my personal experience, it is always worth checking in on-line, as you may also have the chance to bag a better seat. This is because more get released at OLCI, 24 hours before flight departure. Looking at the aircraft database, row 74 should be pretty good (upper deck), so maybe of less concern, but avoid the queues anyway! If you have to queue, it will always be for a shorter period than at check-in, at least it is at LHR - I've never flown from LGW with VS [:I]!

Have a great flight!

Wow, thanks for such a quick reply Phil, and for the welcome. Guess I should have introduced myself. This will be my second time on VS (first to MCO), but third time in Vegas (flew BA 10 years ago and AA 2 years ago). I've been spending on the Virgin Mastercard/Black AMEX for just over a year now with a view to being able to regularly fly PE for Economy money, or maybe UCS one day. I've been reading v-flyer for months (found it from Flyertalk), and it really is a great resource. I'm still learning how to get the best deals & best value from my FC points, but it's great fun. Only downside to VS for me is that I live only 15 minutes from BHX and I travel from there regularly for work, so LGW/LHR are a bit of a bind.

Cheers

Thanks Andrew,

I've had row 74 reserved since January ! It was 74 - where we can recline without worrying about anyone behind, or 75 for the extra legroom. The recline won!

Cheers

Good choice [y], but don't forget about people reclining into your space when not appropriate (i.e. eating) [V].

Well mate I'll be seeing you there as we are also booked in PE on VS043 this sunday. We only upgraded last week so can't reserve seats so fingers crossed we can get some on OLCI and not be split up.

Agreed. Did that from LGW in the summer.

So Andy did you get some good seats ?

Congratulations on your forthcoming wedding BTW.

See you on board ! I'm in 74 with my wife and my folks.
