choosing Virgin

We selected Virgin, not on price but on other recommendations regarding quality. Our Family will range from three adults to two Children 11 and 7. I also looked at excitment value for the younger children, plus i liked the look of their planes! I also love 747s. So i hope the billing is matched by the service!! Just wish i did not have to wait till July. Btw, I have flown other airline and what really cheeses me off is if an airline cancels a direct flight or changes to another carrier. I didn't pay direct to go via, and i didn't chose virgin to fly excel air! So what is their track record of cancelling and changing to other airlines?
Many questions, i know but hopefully everything will be alright.

Welcome to V-Flyer :)

It's unlikely that Virgin will cancel your flight and put you on another carrier.

In the unlikely event VS were to cancel your flight from MAN, they would first transfer passengers onto a Virgin flight leaving from Gatwick, providing you with compentation and the flight down from MAN to LGW.

Basically dont panic!!!

Regards

As I've never experienced a cancellation I can't give first hand experience but I think if you search the forums here you'll see that if VS cancel a flight they strive to put you on a different VS flight (see the thread about the changes to the autumn MCO service out of Manchester).

As James has said, don't panic. It is unlikely yor flight will get cancelled and you would not get moved to another carrier in any case.

You have made a good choice with S, obviously we are fans of them (hence the site) but they have a good reputation and I am sure you will have a fab flight.

Hi Stephen,

As per the three previous replies, VS will always strive to accomodate you another of their services in the very unlikely event of a cancellation.

Don't worry about your flight will be cancelled as the chances are very, very slim for a July service. I would be suprised if the flight wasn't full given school holidays...( Presume your travelling to MCO :D[:p] )

Hi Stephen and welcome [y]

My personal experience of a delay with VS was a good one.

My flight back to Gatwick from Orlando was delayed from 6 PM to 6 am and they put me up in the Hyatt at the Airport overnight, and paid for food :D

I was rather impressed with their service :D
