Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but I need a guru on this one.

Anyone remember Scarlet Lady? I have a brass windproof lighter with no maker's mark, no identifying marks at all, but I do have the box. All it states is 'The Scarlet Lady' above the lighter slot, and 'brass windproof lighter' below it.

I've tried to link the photo to this, to no avail. (If anyone can help me do it, please PM me and let me know what I'm doing wrong, please, and I'll try again!) It's just a lacquered brass Zippo-style flip-top lighter with the basic Virgin lady in 3-d on the side; the 'Virgin' is clear on the garment, and is the only marking on the lighter.

The person who sold it to me only knows that his mother was a travel agent from 1973 to 1988; he always thought it was a travel agent gift from VS when she was on a FAM trip.

I don't want to sell it, but I'm as curious as a cat, and I'd just like to know what I have. Does anyone know? TIA, [oo]

Oops. Too many miles, not enough sleep. Of course, NOW I found the problem with the pix posting...[:I]

No PM's required, just send the zzz's my way, thanks!
