Hi, not sure if this is the right place to post this. I booked an open jaw ticket with VH, flying into LAX and out of JFK. Just looked at the aircraft used for the VS04 and I am gutted that the 747-400 does not seem to be used a lot. Is there a chance that it will be used more often by next September? As we were flying to LHR and thought all the aircraft would be fitted with V.Port, this does not seem the case ethier. The virgin agent never gave me the option of EWR and I guess if I change I will be charged an admin fee.

At least we have v.port and the 747-400 on the way to LAX which is the longer flight.

Things change all the time, so it's probably a little early to speculate on next year's schedule.

I'm not sure what's happening with the A340-300s over the next year but there aren't many left and LHR is almost exclusively v:port, not that it help the 4 at the moment[:I]

With only 5 744's left operating ex LHR, the likelyhood of them being used more often is highly unlikely. However, with more A346's due to enter the fleet over the coming months the chances of getting a V-Port a/c should increase. One of the A343's is always operating DEL/BOM, so the % of getting one on your flight is unlikely but not inpossible.

This september, there have only been three A343 flights on the VS004 compared to almost all in July.
