hi all ive just joined and i have a question for you guys.

if i buy miles for my kids accounts, does this action reset the 3yr limit on their accounts, as they run out in nov 07, and we may not be able to travel because of my health until the year after.

thanks for any info/advice you may have :)

I don't know for sure, but normally any activity resets the clock, so I would assume so. Maybe call the FC helpline to be sure? Or buy me some, and I'll tell you what happens? [:w]

Agree with Locutus, nothing specific in the t&c's about this but you would presume that any activity should reset the 3 year limit. I would also suggest a quick call to Flying Club as they will confirm one way or another (and if you could let us know the answer too that would be most helpful)

Welcome to V-Flyer btw[y]

Neil:)

Any earning or spending activity whatsoever will re-activate the account for 3 years. Buying miles will do.

Oxygen is available on VS flights, but you will need to contact Special Assistance well in advance of your flight to sort it out, and I am sure they will be able to answer any questions you might have.

I would have thought that more than just the availability of oxygen would be Virgin's view of your general fitness to fly and their ability to help you inflight if required. I suppose they would have to think of the other complications that might arise from someone with significant airways disease.

However, I and other suitably qualified individuals on here would be available to accompany you (for a free trip in UC of course ;)

Without wanting to go to much OT, but just in reply to the above...

Of course if you have any medical condition, you should contact Special Assistance before booking your tickets. There is a whole section on the VS website aboutFlying with Medical conditions/onboard Medical facilities which gives all the info anybody would need, but I am sure VS will do there best to accomodate any condition if at all possible.
