Virgin Atlantic and Hertz Deal?

Help! I think I must be having a blonde day today [:I]

Trying to use the Hertz/VS car rental page, but I am unsure what the actual price of the car rental is. I want to make sure I get the correct price, because the next screen charges my Credit Card.

Here is an extract from the webpage.

The rate quoted is based on available information at time of reservation. Additional fees or surcharges may be applied at the time of rental, for example, if you add an additional driver or purchase any additional products.

The 457.97 AUD is the price is comes back with, but as you can see there is all the other information. You have the line "Weekly: 1 @ 347.87 AUD, is that the price I will pay[?]

I feel dumb asking the question[:I] but if someone could enlighten me that would be great.

457.97 AUD looks like the complete price of the rental.

347.87 AUD is the basic weekly rate, then you need to add the following on:

TAX: 10.00 %
AIRPORT CONCESSION FEE RECOVERY: 7.50 %
VEHICLE REGISTRATION RECOVERY: 35.00 AUD
ADMN RECOVERY: 1.50 %

Quick calculation of the additionals shows that the total is about right...

457 (the "approximate rental") will be the charge...basic amount + taxes + sundry other charges. You can get close to the 457 by adding these in but unless you know how the taxes are applied it's difficult to get there exactly.
