Hello ,
have a look at this picture of Air Canada's new
business class seat it's very like Virgin/NZ .
But what I love is that you have a place to put your
Cocktail / Drink . I know on Virgin you can but the location of the mini table is much better and your TV has a cover , So if the thing does not turn off , You still have a good night sleep .
Hope Everyone is well !!

Yes it is very similar look wise to VS/NZ but the main difference is how the seat goes flat. You dont have to get up to turn it into a flat bed. You can remain in your seat and press the buttion and she'll go fully flat

Ahh!! ,
So it's like Club Class seat / Upper Class Seat .
The seat looks like it has more space with the little curve at the front of the seat .
If Virgin can upgrade there Y Class and Premium Class , I wonder if they can Copy the Air Canada Design . It's more passenger friendly . As when I worked for Virgin , Some passenger's looked confussed with the product . And if you want to sleep / Watch tv it's so easy to convert seat , And you dont need much help .

I like that extra shelf - makes a huge amount of sense. Also, they appear to have an additional storage area under the screen, plus they've put the video control in a much more sensible place in terms or immediate accessibility. 10 out of 10 to AC.

For me I like the seperate surfaces on the UCS for sitting and sleeping Though i'd love more recline. The AC suite is narrower than the UCS though.
Wonder what the CX suite will be like?

Looks good, though would be better with mood lighting and without the white - very plain. I do like the place to put your drinks though, not that I have much of a problem with the mini-table on UCS.

They've had the seat images published for literally YEARS now.
ONE day, they'll actually get off their a*** and roll the damn thing out. Until then, I'll sit and laugh in pity in my "Executive First" crap seat whenever I fly with them. [n]

This was in a thread a while back now- when AC first released pictures.
http://www.v-flyer.com/forum/topic.asp? ... air+canadaand there was another topic but cant find it now!
Not 100% the same as UCS but it is made by the same company I believe. When I saw the pictures I felt it didnt have the class of the UCS or of NZs seat- it looks rather plastic- maybe its the blue. It of course does not flip either like UCS!

I think you're right - it certainly does look much "cheaper." Is this AC's highest class?

Yes, and it's been pathetic for years. [ii]
Here are their classes. They've been "toying" with PE for a while - and it's now more officially available, but only on certain routes.
Their Executive First service has to be the worst business class offering I know of in the world. (And that's from someone who's used it a LOT)

Thanks, Paul[^]
The PE seat-pitch looks pretty decent on the 763[:?]

The layout looks fine, and there seems to be a lot of places where you can put drinks etc.
where the next door suite curves round I can see being an obstruction to tall passengers.
And the colour, looks very clinical and "plasticy"..

Because the seat is further back, it looks like it's much easier to see out of the window too... good news for window watchers like me.
Anyone seen any pictures of the "Extreme Makeover" (that's what Air Canada are calling the refurbished aircracft) Y cabin yet?

That would definitely be an advantage for myself, but I know quite a few people who don't really care about such things. If I'm given a seat in UCS with bad views out of the window, I generally try to get another seat if possible.

At least the seats seem to line up with the windows, though maybe that is because they are smaller.
