LGW Clubhouse - No Kitchen

Checked in this morning at Gatwick (very long security lines, BTW, so leave extra time), and just to let you know the kitchen is out of action in the Clubhouse.
They are offering cold food (inc Egg Mayo or BLT sarnies), and also offering passengers vouchers that can be used in the terminal.
Not sure how long this is in effect, but the Kitchen does look a little blocked off, so may be long term.

Not good news for me as I'm flying tomorrow, have been to the club house at Heathrow many times, but this will be my first time in the club house at Gatwick, and I was really looking forward to a cooked breakfast after a long drive from West Wales.

Pete, I presume the bar is still fully functional?

I get the impression from reading the trip reports on this site that there would be more than a few unhappy V-Flyers if a Clubhouse bar was out of action!

Small tip if you are flying from LGW, upstairs in the Village area, they sometimes open up an extra security screenign facility - it's between McDonalds and Boots - you'll be through very quickly compared to the mess downstairs, especially with no FastTrack and surly staff.
Thanks,
Richard

Richard - Yes that security line was open this morning too, but as they were encouraging people to use it, it was equally stuffed [:(]
Bazz - Clubhouse Bar fully functional.
Now in Las Vegas, and have to say I was pretty disappointed with the whole Gold card benefits today. Gatwick Fast Track is closed (not Virgin's fault I know), there was no Priority Boarding, and no Priority Luggage Handling. The flight over was stuffed in Economy, but sadly no chance of a cabin move (even if I pressed miles into their palm). The cabin crew were good though, and we bagged the exit row so got the leg room (if not the seat width - note those exit rows are snug!)

Me too Pete - echo all the disappointment on my last week LGW - LAS - LGW, no priority anything and surly check in to boot. My wife doesnt think much of the haircut either
