* I tried running some searches, but could not find an answer to my question*
If you pre order duty free on VA, flying club members are able to recieve 10 miles/£ spent.
If one was to pay with the VA Amex, does the sale count as a transaction with VA, and there for recieve 6 miles/£ spent.

I don't know for sure, but my last duty free purchase showed up on my Vs AmEx statement as: TOURVEST DUTY FREE GATWICK AIRPO ... so i doubt it. It doesn't even say Virgin Atlantic.
Thanks,
Sarah

I know that when I had the Amex Gold card with VS' offer (2 pp£ for each £ regular spend, 4 pp£ for each £ spent with VS), I used to get the bonus rate for pre-ordered duty free. However, this was back in 2004, so things may well have changed....
Cheers

I spent £22 on duty free pre-order a couple of weeks ago although the miles have not reached my FC account yet. The order has appeared on my Amex (Black) statement as 'VIRGIN ATLANTIC INFLIG GATWICK AIRPO'. However this is only £22 out of a total statement of £833 so I can't innediately tell if I have got 4 or 6 miles per £ for the purchase.
Does anyone know if I can tell from the statement.
Thanks
