Hi All,

I have my first flight with Virgin on the 7th of December, going out to Sydney, with a 4 day stop off in Hong Kong.

I am a rather large chap (6'3" high and the same wide, well not quiet lol [:#]) and was wondering what size the sleep suites come in? Would I be better off taking my own PJ's?

Also do they provide slippers? The last time I went to Auz I went via Emirates 1st class (very nice) and they provided slippers, which saves taking shoes on and off every time you want to walk around the plane?

Thanks for your help in advance

BigDawg :D

Hey and welcome to V-Flyer :)

Sleepsuits come in a S, M or L - all quite roomy. Given your height - i'd say a large! I wouldnt bring your own PJs onboard - you might get the odd look, though most of the UC cabin are in black slepsuits (or ninja suits as we affectionately call them) on a night flight!

A certain number of sleepsuits are also held on daytime flights.

You'll get socks in your amenity kit too. Not quite sleepers, but something to keep your tootsies warm.

Thanks,
Sarah

Speaking for myself, being 6'4" and nearly as wide as Mark, L will be plenty of PJ for you. They are even a bit on the ample side for me.

Hi BigDawg,

Welcome to V-Flyer! Hope you have a great trip to my fine country! [y] I am 6ft 4in, and they gave me a large and it was more than big enough, which is good as it give me room to manoeuvre.

Look forward to the TR and pictures in your sleep suit! :D

Bigdawg-Hope that doesn't mean you're a Georgia Fan.

I'm 6'3" with a waist size in the upper 40's and the large did fit.

Sleep suits definitely on the roomy side... I'm 6'1" with waist in the lower 30's, and the Medium is fine but a bit baggy!

My mum was thrilled to be told by the crew on a recent flight that 'Oh you're a medium madam' ... they really are quite generous sizes.

On my return [overnight] flight on Saturday, the crew tried to give me a large sleep suit, claiming that this was the size they gave everyone. I got them to change it for a medium... glad I did too, as I'm only about 5'7" and not over wide and there was plently of room in a medium.

It has to be said, the sleep suits are quite comfy & warm - certainly worh the trip to the toilet to change so you are not sleeping in your own clothes. Most of the people off my flight, yes me included, took the sleep suits with them on arrival - so either a lot are going to appear on eBay or poeple use them at home.

Thanks
James

At this time of year, with the cold weather, they make smashing pyjamas. :)
