Miles Plus Money - can you cancel?

Hi Gurus all,

I have two seats booked in PE for 2nd December to LAS. I used Miles Plus Money - £660 each plus 7500 miles, each.

I now see these seats are only about £760 each full price.

It seems a waste of 15000 miles when I could pay the extra £200 AND get a load of miles (150%) if I paid all cash.

Do you know what the rules are regarding cancellation of these types of seats? i.e the miles plus money ones. Can they be cancelled or swapped without penalty?

Thanks, Helen

Oh, yep. See it now.

I read down all those T and Cs and when I got down to Mileage Levels I thought it was finished.

I'll give them a call see if they can help me at all. I hate wasting those hard earned miles AND get no points.

Thanks very much for your reply.

If you have different dates you want to use, they should be changable, within the 12 month validity of the tickets. you could always change them, and book new ones for the dates you are currently booked for.

True, but as James has pointed out, a charge will be required for changes to a MPM fare.

I guess its a bit tough luck really, like when you buy something and a few weeks later see it in the sale, you win some, you lose some.

Now there's a sight, someone attempting to pull up Juliet on rules for fares. [:(]

Both James and Juliet are correct. There is a fee that can be paid to upgrade the tickets to an applicable class.

Thanks,
Richard

Just to let you know .... I called them today and was told that I could swap to a full fare paying ticket for the £100 odd extra each but I would lose my 15,000 miles.

I was told there would be no extra charge.

Another option was (as someone else suggested) to move these flights to anytime in the next year and pay full fare for the ones coming up.
