V-Flyer

Is it me or is there something funny going at LHR every morning when the USA flights arrive in... I have flown to USA on average 4 times a year for the last 3 years ( mostly with VA but also BA and UA ) and each time we arrive in at LHR - we are sent to a remote stand. You then wait for ages for the buses to turn up... etc etc..

This happens to every airline that flies into LHR, with the number of over night flights coming into LHR there simply are not enough gates to accommodate all the aircraft, so the unlucky few get shoved to the stands.

I believe this is part of the long-term answer [:w]

Its a pain in the arse for all concerned. Welcome to LHR.

Tell me about it ... every single time I have ended up at remote stand ... if i was a visitor I would think I ended up on a ryanair flight at some dodgy airport miles from London..

another example of BAA cramming as much money as possible...
