We're flying to MCO next october UC and I believe the lounge at MCO is the Delta lounge. Is it any good and should we get to the airport early to enjoy it?
Any info or experiences greatly appreciated.
We can use the Escape lounge at Manchester and their website is informative, I just can't find any info on the Delt ounge.
Thanks
Andy

I wouldn't suggest getting early to enjoy it. More use it instead of sitting in the public areas.
Not great, but better than the public areas. Free drinks, one or two type of snacks (not up to much) a TV or two and no computers.
Do a search for Detla Crown Lounge on here you will find some detail including some pictures

I'd agree with Paul - it's ok but wouldn't bother getting there early to enjoy it. The snacks are just things like nuts and pretzels so don't plan to have a meal there. However, just take a look at the public lounge and you'll soon appreciate the Delta lounge!

The Crown Lounge at MCO is nothing special - as others have said, there is a free bar, limited snacks (nuts, pretzels and cheese & crackers when I was there a few weeks ago). There are a couple of TV's, no computers, but there is free WiFi access if you have your laptop with you.
The real advantage of the Crown Lounge is that you can avoid the gate areas for as long as possible. There is not enough seating at the gate areas & late afternoon you have the crowds assembling for 2 VS & 1 BA flight back to the UK. Add to this the screaming kids running round & the Crown Lounge is very preferable.

Thanks for the prompt responses guys, I'm a little dissapointed that it doesn't sound that good. Guess I'll have to console myself with a snooze in 6A.

Don't be too disheartened. It's still a very comfortable and relaxing way to start a trans-pond flight and it's a world apart from the chaos outside. I'm sure you'll enjoy it once you're there

Yesterday the Delta lounge at MCO was heaving with people at 4pm. It was standing room only for a time. It is definately no clubhouse.

Hi,
Instead of the lounge you can always go up to the restraunt in the hyatt, it is usually quiet and overlooks the airfield. The only downside is that the food/drinks are not free!
