One for Mr Mannion I reckon.

With 50% extra Flying Club miles when you take a qualifying full fare flight in Premium Economy (W or K booking classes) between 8 January and 31 March 2007 inclusive, there's never been a better time to travel in the award winning Premium Economy.

Oddly, a "K" fare is being considered a "full fare flight", yet no mention of "S"! [?]

Anyway, combined with the special offers to the USA, the Caribbean and rest of the world, it could be a nice little earner - as these will all be booked into K.

That has to be a typo, surely?

Thanks,

But if it isn't I'm happy. I have two PE in K class to NYC booked in Jan! Good for Virgin.

And how interesting that all of a sudden VS's PE fares to New York are now alot lower than Silverjet who launch after Christmas. A week ago VS were more expensive !

I know it's not a like - for - like product but I just find it interesting that just when I was considering a competitor VS throw a curved ball !

If it is a typo, it's in about 6 places on that micro-web site [:?]

I did find at least 1 typo though, in the spend miles section you can spend:

65,000 miles for an Economy round trip flight in Upper Class.
what [?] [:w] [:?]

Registered mine no problem, but it won't accept my husband's details as correct but stopped after 2 attempts.

I tried, just once though. Didn't get error message, but neither did I get any kind of confirmation message.

Does anyone know why VS are asking us to register for this offer?

Would it not have been easier just to advertise 50% extra miles when you travel in PE and then just automatically credit everyone when they fly.

They often ask people to register for this type of offer. (Always have done to my knowledge for Upper Class 3x ones, etc).

Why credit everyone? - You're potentially giving miles away to those that wouldn't realise anyway.

Excellent, my fare in PE in March is so cheap there's no way i thought it would be valid, but there it is, a K.
Getting the flight at this price was bonus enough, but will never turn down extra miles..

I've read the blurb on this and can't find anything that specifically deals with the issue of both legs of the journey having to be within the defined dates.
The only thing I can can see that possibly indicates that both legs have to be within the dates is the phrase "departing from UK".
I'm travelling to Orlando on the 3rd (non qualifying date) but returning 14th (qualifying date).
I've registered anyway, but wondered whether anyone could shed any definitive light on the subject.
Many thanks.

Finally got myself registered for the offer. The secret: Make sure that you're NOT logged into your FC account in another browser window at the same time you're registering. If you are, the registration doesn't seem to complete.

As long as the fare is UK originating, the sector within the qualifying date (for UK, pre-registered members) should earn you the extra miles.

Juliet,
Thanks for the info. I'm going to follow the guidelines and give the check in desk the FF membership numbers and hopefully get the extra 50% on half the journey.
