There's a good line from Steve Ridgway in the BBC report:

Virgin Atlantic's chief executive, Steve Ridgway, who himself is made a CBE for services to civil aviation, said: "Of the two of us, I suspect John has been more influential in helping to look after our passengers."

:)

Thanks, Neal[y]

I'm surprised the Honours List hasn't been made into some Big Brother-like TV show...[}:)]

VS.

John has indeed been very influential in defining that 'customer service experience'. Always a pleasure chattign to John when travellign through the LON CH's. A well deserved award! What would be great is for his peer, Jack Doherty to receive the same honour in the future as he thoroughly deserves the accolade too.

Good news on both awards though.

Thanks,
Richard

Great stuff, especially for John. I didn't realise that they had to pay 15 quid to receive their buttonhole though!

Thanks,
Sarah

Well at least SR has managed to make one good management call this year.

Absolutely delighted for John. I wonder how he got nominated - not someone from this site was it!

Big congrats to John [y][^] and for once I am amazed that Steve had something that was 100% accurate to say.
