Here's a good starting point. Looks like you can join beforehand as it speaks of "As a flying club member you can start earning miles on your first flight".

you join online..
I think they send the card out after your first flight
at check in you give them your FC number (if you didnt add it when booking!)

BTW, if you want to be recommended to FC, put a post in this forum, I'm sure someone will be able to help out :)

Just remember if you are referring members, they have to be flying on one of the elligble fare classes.

Economy: M, L, B or Y
Premium: H, K, S or W
Upper: Z, D or J

See http://www.v-flyer.com/code.asp if the letters above are like latin for you :)

and if you're a Flying Co administrator you don't get miles for signing people up to your own account - even if you ARE paying the bills ;)

Thanks for the reminder - the impression I got was that even if the first flight isn't in those classes, the referrer gets the MMF bonus only when the new member takes their first flight in one of the eligible classes [?]

they complete their first qualifying round trip with Virgin Atlantic

I think you'd still get miles if there second flight was in an elligble class as nothing in the T&C's suggests otherwise..[?]

All the T&C's say is first elligble flight ..it doesn't say the first flight with VS..

Just spoke to FC
