congrats!

although it is mere minnows compared to some post counts I've seen on t'internet. 41,000+ is the highest I've seen.

I ain't too proud to admit it, but I have a slightly high post count on starwars.com (yes, as well as being an insufferable know all, I am a starwars geek :D) of 12,801, but most of those are "I'm bored" in the chat threads.

any excuse to earn miles!

Still I cant comment I just pre-ordered a camera and some other bits about £360's worth! multiply that by 12miles per £1 = 4320:D

Look what I've become since joining this forum!!

Me Too! just spent £700 on a Denon 2900 DVD player on my VSFC card, and when in the US am going to get an iPod and a new Digital SLR camera, on the vS card for the miles :-)

Alan - I bought one of those Canon EOS 300Ds a month or two ago, and can't recommend it enough, and not only because it works with the pile of lenses I had collected with my old film EOS'.

Oops! I'm really getting off topic now! But hang on, this thread is about me, so this counts ;)

Pix,
Funnily enough that is one of the two I was looking at!
The EOS 300D or the Nikon D2
Currently use a Finepix 6900Z which is good in daylight and bright conditions but a little poor for night pictures, plus does not give the flexibility I want and had from a 35MM SLR.
I think in the USA they call the 300D the Digital rebel?

Yup, they call it the Rebel over there. It's the same thing, except for the badge on the front (300D here, Digital Rebel there).

Great camera - used it for the shots I took that are on V-flyer of the Channel Challenge & Heroes bash. Just taken delivery of a shiny new 28mm-200mm lens, which will probably be on the front of my 300D for 90% of the time.

I will wait until I visit the States next Jan and buy the digital SLR over there as I have found that the price difference is always massive.
