I took my first PE flight under the PE promotion, however, the calculation does not match the promotion guidelines.

The table shows 32,148 to SFO, however, based upon my outward journey, I'll only get 28,130, which looks like the Silver uplift.

Anyone else had the miles credited incorrectly ?
Or indeed, have you had the miles credited correctly ?

Just a thought ....... is the promotion credited on a seperate entry on your statement which may not be there yet? ....... the triple miles offers were always shown that way [?]

Cheers

Hi Mark,
I flew back from SFO on Friday night in PE. I just checked my account and I have been credited with 4,019 bonus miles which I work out as being correct as per the 8,037 PE base mileage.

Let us know what you have been credited for your base miles, bonus miles and Au bonus. We can check whether it looks ok or not for you...:D

I've re-checked, and the PE miles are correct, my Gold uplift is not, which means if it is wrong, all my previous Gold uplpifts are wrong. My Gold Bonus was only 2773 miles. I was only looking at the over al credit nnot the components.

What should be the correct Gold 50% uplift on the LHR to SFO route ?

Gold bonus is based upon 'actual miles flown' (whatever cabin travelled in) whereas the 50% bonus if pre-registered should be of 'PE' miles flown.

Does that make sense?

Yes it does, and it's never been a problem before, however, the Virgin Web Page says the total amount should be more than I actually got !

So instead of getting 32,148 miles for SFO+Gold+Bonus I'll end up with 28,130, which equates to the Silver total.

I'll call the FC on Tuesday

Decided to send an email instead, got a response from the FC that did n't really address my concerns.

Called the FC, spoke with someone in the premier team, she agreed that the markketing details did appear to be wrong, and setting the wrong expectation, she is investigating and will let me know the outcome.

It looks like they Took the PE rates and just added 50% for the promotion and used the same figure for the Gold credit rate, rather than the Gold rate being 50% of the actual miles flown.

An update when I get it.
