online booking of an infant

Hi guys, I have a quick and (hopefully) simple question that I hope you will know the answer to:

I am looking to book some flights online (which I have done before) to NYC later this year, the only difference is that I have now an infant to book for too!

Now my question is when going through the online booking procedure I am asked for my child's age (in months).
I first assumed that this would be his age at the time of the flight, but there does not appear to be any kind of prompt to suggest either way.

I know it make good sense for it to be his age at time of travel but I really dont want to complete the form incorrectly and be denied access into the US!

Thanks for you help!

It's your baby's age at time of travel. And if he/she turns 2 before your return you'll have a child on your hands instead of an infant.

Hi Jamie

We book online, but then have always followed it up later on with a call to confirm the availability of a skycot/infant seat and a request for bulkhead seats.

You might choose to do the same.

Thanks for your help and the tips!

I know it sounded probable to put his age at the time of travel I just needed a quick sanity check!

p.s. you get answers here much faster than you do from Virgin customer support!
