Reward Upgrade

Hi all. Bit late, but love the new look of the site. Oh and Happy New Year!

I was wondering, I bought 2 one-way tickets from EWR-LHR for me and my friend using miles (came to 45000) which turned out T class to fly on the 30th August.

I was wondering, I phoned Virgin Flying Club (Red) and asked if we could upgrade our flight to PE using miles again (20000) and he said that we couldn't and also that there is no availability in PE on the VS2 anyway! I think this guy was BS-ing me to be honest. He was very rude and didn't give a toot when he answered the phone... Maybe I am wrong though.

Help would be appreciated! I would really like to show my friend PE as he has never flown VS before and I wanna get him hooked [}:)]

I used the website to see if there was PE reward availability on the VS2 on the 30 Aug and there isn't - so that bit wasn't b/s. They may release more reward availablity nearer the time.

There is availability on the VS18, You may be able to get moved to this one, and it would cost you 67,500 for 2 x PE. I have booked a reward in one class before and then later upgraded it without penalty. You'd need to check if moving from one flight to another would be treated as a cancellation.
