Hi, and welcome to V-Flyer!

As far as i know (its been a while since i flew PE on the 744) Laptop power is only available on the seats downstairs for the LGW/MAN 744 fleet, which are not as nice as the ones upstairs i am afraid. So you'll need to take your pick from productivity or enjoying 'the bubble' upstairs ... i'd go with the bubble!

Thanks,
Sarah

Totally aggree with Sarah!! Upstairs is the place to be. Never sat in the downstairs seats but the area they in just isnt the same. So pretty sure they have empower as they are the new design seats which went in when UCS was fitted.[y]

On all the flights I have been on there has always been a spare seat in this area so I would advise sitting upstairs with your lap top and then popping down to charge it up should the need arise!!

Unfortunately there is no laptop power in PE on the LGW based B744s.

Although the seats on the main deck are the same as the LHR based B744s (which do have laptop power) it was decided on the LGW fleet not to offer in seat power on the main deck when it wasn't available on the upper deck. Does that make sense?! [?]

Thanks for clearing that up Marc, i wasn't totally sure but i could have sworn i had read/been told that the downstairs seats had Empower. I guess they have the ports but they are not active?

When the new PE seat roll-out is complete, i take it that LGW/MAN will have in-seat power?

Thanks,
Sarah

Thanks all for your replies, I'll borrow an extra long life battery and sit in the bubble! :D
