Sorry to dredge up an old subject but has anyone expirenced/seen/got pictures of the new dividers in the centre seats in UCS that allow couples to travel together that little bit better. It strikes me that it would be quite a strain on the neck to see the other half! Enough pain off her as it is!!!!;)

Declan had posted earlier that Lady Penelope (G-VFAB) will be the first 744 to have the removable divider installed during her current refit. I think, barring delays, she was due to resume service today so there should be some feed back available shortly.

Wicked I presume they will be a fairly simple retrofit?

I believe the plan is to retro-fit all remaining 744's during scheduled routine maintenance periods.

Hi Daffy welcome aboard.

You sure you mean 4th August, that is a hell of a way off?

Yep went into DUB on the 27th JUNE for UCS and complete IFE update to V-port. Too short a turnaround for the 4th JULY, so the 4th August it is. G-VFOX (A346)next back from UCS fitting any day soon

Sorry Daffy, I must be thick or missing something, if she went to DUB on 27th June but couldn't be got ready for 4th July why has it slipped to 4th August, couldn't she just come back a few days late, why a whole month?

Hi Bazz

It isn't realistic to refit the aircraft with the suite as well as new IFE and probably new Economy and Premium Economy seating in 7 days. This kind of thing takes alot longer so 5 weeks with the hope of a early return is more feasible than 7 days and a few extra if the need arises

Thanks Daffy, I see why the delay now, if they are fitting the new Kash and Wash seating aswell it starts to be a big job. Mind you Lady P really needs this make-over ;)
