Hi,

Wifey and I are off to Mumbai in a couple of months and shock horror its on a 343, as we generally get to fly on 346's and usually have 2&3K which are great seats and 2K has that useful shelf between the seat and the WC wall. Now, as I am a messy flier and like to spread my toys around is there someone out there that can tell me if there is a shelf between 1K and the wall on these 343 'old barges'? I know it sounds trivial but the shelf is great for resting your Tanqueray 10 and tonic on, and saves having to use that silly little cocktail table.

Also as 'the wall' is along the front of the 1st few seats on the K side is the general ambiance the same as on the 346's.

Many thanks for your help.

Mark

Hi Mark

Pretty sure the answer is yes. The UCS cabin on the A343's is basically the same as the UCS cabin on the A346's, but obviously shorter and in 2 sections also with a smaller bar.

The IFBT is in the same place as well (next to door L1)

Regards

Hi James

Thanks for the reply, I will change our seats to 1&2K as soon as the Virgin 'update my bookings' site is up and running again on Thursday.

Mark.

There are shelves but you may get told off if you leave your stuff there particularly before take off. Technically, there are signs not to place personal belongings there as I think there are air vents there.

Crew then to place the PJs there before distributing them prior to taxi for departure.
