I read somewhere that you can make calls from some VS planes, if this is so, how much a minute does it cost? And how do you actually pay for the call.
I'm flying to Orlando from MAN next week( economy [:(]) and thought it would be funny to ring my old man up from 35000 ft

I know it won't be cheap, but it'd be a one off

TIA,
Dave.

Dave, I'm sure somebody will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the cost of the call is around $6 per minute. You swipe your card through the handset.
However, I've read on some posts recently that on the MAN flight a lot of the phones/handsets don't work!!

Phone calls are US$9 a minute charged to your credit card.

I think you'll find it's nearer $9 a minute - not that I've ever used the phones.
