Any ideas about new flights to/from Australia?

Last year, the Boss of Virgin Atlantic in Australia mentioned the possibility of twice daily flights to/from Sydney. Do you think this new flight will also be via Hong Kong? I hope so.

I cannot find the original thread on this from last year but I'm sure the Boss of VS Australia was quoted out of context. I'm fairly sure that this was dreamt up by the media?

I cannot see a second SYD coming soon or a service to MEL either. I would certainly welcome MEL but cannot see it paying with 3ish aircraft required to run it...

I can see VS taking BA's approach and concentrating on Asia/US and hopefully South America to provide a higher aircraft yield...
