Apologies if this is one of those questions that comes up with monotonous regularity, but I couldn't find it in this thread via the search, and I can't find definitive information on the VA website.

I'm going to be renewing FC Gold for the first time next month so I'll be getting a companion flight. Is there a time limit on how soon the flight has to be taken? (Is the perk only valid for a year, for example?)

Thanks.

Hi Jon,

You have to use the voucher to book a flight within 12 months of it being credited to your FC Account. As you can book 336 days in advance, that somewhat extends the life of the companion voucher.

Thanks,
Sarah

So I assume that the gold member (no pun intended) may not be such when the companion flight takes place.
