Do any of the changes mean anything practical, more money for any of those concerned, for example?

Oooh, I remember that back in June when I flew LHR-HKG, I was talking to the IFS and she said her job title's going to change to Flight Service Manager. She said it's just a job title change, nothing else will be different.

Firstly hi to Bazz,

After meeting you on the Miami flight AND at the Virgin Heros I have finally found the time to log on. Hope you are well!

Nick - yes more money for the FSM's and CSS's (hurrah)

Our jobs have changed slightly and this is under a system called 'onboard management' Basically FSM and CSS will be assigned crew that we will fly with four times a year and monitor their performance onboard. This will include coaching and development. This has been bought in to improve service standards onboard. Apart from the above roles our duties are still largely unchanged.

Hope that answers any questions.

Am enjoying this site immensely Bazz, am finding out stacks of info. Thanks for recommending it!

Best Regards

Welcome Southernbelle (the best CSS in the Skys! But them I'm Bias ;)) great to hear you are going to get more money to go with the extra responsibilites, these days that seems to be quite unusual.

Glad you've found the time to visit us and I'm sure you will find it very useful and good fun.

There are a number of your colleagues posting regularly some you may recognise from their styles [?]

Hope to fly with you soon :D;)

Nick, that took five minutes to type? Sounds like you need Mavis Beacon or a faster line...
