First Class "A" fares - no points?

Recently, I noticed an anomaly in Virgin's partner flight information. For US partners like Continental and Delta, Virgin treats discounted first class "A" fares just like "F" fares, but there is no mention of it in the US Airways information. I just contacted the Flying Club call centre, and was informed that if the fare class is not listed, they "probably" would not be able to credit any miles/tier points.

This seems like an error to me - can anyone suggest the best way to point something out to the powers at Virgin so that they can make this policy clear? Emailing them just produces a canned reply.

Thanks

Perhaps your mention of it here will have already brought it to the attention of someone in Flying Club who can check whether it is an error or a deliberate omission. ;)

US airways is not an earning partner.... with regards to HP merge - details are still being resolved, so currently the answer is correst.... it it is not there, it will most likely not earn.

You can, of course, add your FC number into the booking, and keep your ticket receipt and boarding card and try to claim afterwards, but you will only earn if the airline is an earning partner for Virgin Atlantic.

According to this link (and a conversation today with FC): http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/en/us/fr ... irways.jsp they are indeed still an earning partner, but not a "spending" partner. I'm just questioning the "A" fare class being omitted from the acceptable fares - seems like an error to me.
